Athletics

At Evergreen Country Day, our interscholastic athletics program provides students of all abilities and ambitions the opportunity to grow, compete, and succeed in a supportive environment. Guided by values of teamwork, commitment, sportsmanship, and leadership, our teams are a source of pride for the entire school community.

Beginning in fourth grade, students can participate in our competitive athletics program, which is part of the Middle School Athletic Conference. This league includes six schools across the Evergreen, Arvada, and Westminster areas, and we’re proud to be the only middle school in Evergreen to offer school-sponsored sports.

Currently, we field teams in volleyball, soccer, and basketball, and our Eagles have seen tremendous success on and off the court. In recent years, our teams have won league championships and, just as meaningfully, have consistently earned the league’s Sportsmanship Award—voted on by opposing coaches and awarded to the team that exemplifies outstanding character and respect.

For students, our athletics program is a welcoming space to learn the basics of team sports, improve skills, and form bonds with their peers. For experienced athletes, it’s an opportunity to compete at a high level while representing their school with pride. Game days bring our community together, with parents and students filling the stands to cheer on the Eagles.
